Which do you prefer?

I think it's more convenient to just switch mags than having to sit there and wind it 20 or 30 times. So I like non winding better. I've also never been in a real skirmish, though.
I have played, and I guess it really depends (this is my opinion, so as always opinions vary), on if you want more realistic or you just out having fun.

I have used both, and I don't mind either they both have good and bad points... good of low caps are as you say no winding, but if you get a little crazy and just start shooting and lose fire control... then you will be empty is nothing flat... hope you have plenty of mags. High caps means you have to remember to wind when you hear it miss.

My son is a prime example of someone who needed to learn fire control - P90 with a 50rd mag... well his idea of fire control used to be see target empty clip... but he has learned fire control I have now seen him play a whole 10 to 15 minute match and never empty one clip...
I've had the same mags for the last decade most of which are mid cap 90 rounders. I personally was quite disgusted with winding the hicap in the first month after buying my first aeg in 1997.

But it took untill 2004 before anything more than 50 round low caps became available to buy in my area. I love mid caps and will stick with them for life.
I love mid caps I can't stand being in a great firefight and having to wind my mag so unrealuatic and in mo oppinion a nuiscance
I find that hicaps aren't that bad if you have the single wind(quick wind) magazines. I just hate the rattling of the BBs inside. Midcaps are more realistic and add that special 'something' to the game. And, contrary to popular belief, you don't necessarily need more midcaps. You just have to be more selective with your shots.
Apex I disagree, I think that especially in cqb u wanna just lay fire down on anything that isn't on your team. So while I don't think you need to carry a thousand midcaps I think anywhere from 4 to 8 mags is a very reasonable amount

Well I'm not talking about CQB. And I'm just talking about personal preference. I personally use 4 mids for my rifle and that's all I need. I have a few hicaps but in the event of CQB, movement is key. You really don't want to be rattling around whilst trying to complete an objective, take cover or just be stealthy.
I would rather have the high cap mags... I usually wind all of my mage prior to the game...after the initial wind, you only have to wind them one more time...usually. I am not really into the mid-cap mags due to the number of mags you have to carry in a "large number of players" game.
See I must have a crappy high cP then cause I wind it before the game and then after about 10-15 bb's I have to wind it fully again. Maybe mines just a lemon.

I would say so Ben. I can go through a ton, give it five or so full rotations, then i'm good to go again.
If you open the mag, the wheel inside is miss feeding the BB's. I would recommend that you should show it to a professional or try to buy a new wheel .
