Ok, im still new to airsoft, so I figured I would ask a few questions.
1: Would I need anything other than my m4 and my helmet?
2: I know i've asked this question before, but i've gotten many different responses. Would I need a sidearm? If so, what type would be the best?
3: Should I invest into any type of protection or harnesses? If so, where could I purchase good quality (can be used), cheap goods in the Monroe area?
Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to look like a total newb when the place actually opens lol

1. At minimum, you'll need ANSI Approved Eyewear. I believe a mask is needed for this arena.
2. The word "Best" turns everything into opinion. I won't be using a sidearm. I believe they're not worth the investment when i can reload a mag in 3 seconds for my primary.
3. Protection is covered in the above link. Like i said, minimum of eyewear. Not something you want to cheap out on or that BB can be the last thing your eye sees. I'm guessing by Harness you mean a vest or something. My vest will be used for convience of my equipment rather than protection but they do reduce the impact. I've bought all of my equipment online. There are a few airsoft stores in Ohio as well.
Ghost some Cqb fields courses are very tight . If your in tight ( butt to nut) there are times where pistols are prefered and some senairos may require one.
I see both sides of the arguement, but thats where im stuck at.... Im not sure if I should pitch in for a pistol, or just hope for game types with assult rifles
I understand what your both saying. But I always just liked the feel and look of a pistol. But honestly unless your going for realism and only carrying about 6-8 mags filled with 20 rounds a pistol isn't very practicol in airsoft. Even though I might be buying my friends glock lol that's my view on it. It all boils down to personal preferance. You may only use it but once a match but that one time may be worth it to you.
Agreed. I'm not hating on pistols or any secondary weapon for that matter. If i had a few dollars to blow, sure, i'd buy a pistol to use. They're very movable and compact, making them a great CQB weapon.
I personally wouldn't go for that gun just because you get what you pay for. If you're wanting a shotgun, go with TSD, Echo 1, or even Tokyo Marui if you can find one. That's just my opinion.
