Thanks. I wasn't assinged to it. Its somthing I was investigating with a friend. Its a gurkalav armor personel carrier. There is several versions. I was in the army but got out after 3 years medical/honorable around 02. Aviation Operation Specialist. I havn't had the pleasure of hoping in one of these babies yet. This is one of the canidates for the U.S. Military humvey replacement program. There is a couple more like this jeep down below. Its called JLTV or (Joint light tactical vehicle.) I think that one is to replace the humveys in around 2014 but im not completely sure about that so don't quote me on it.
Cool, all I know is I didn't like the Humvee's when I was in. I could go farther, faster and better in my Land Rover than I could in the Humvee. Of course we also had tactical 5 tons and 1 1/4 ton Chevy trucks, but I was in the Navy 11 years my last 4 were the fun ones out of Little Creek VA.
Yea I bet. I remeber those when I was in. I know everybody loves the humvee but fuck im sorry to say you are right. the land rover is way better in alot of cases then the humvee. Hell the royal navel marines use them. Its high time for us to replace the humvee as we did the jeep in the last generation.

That looks like it has a lot better armor than the humvee's the US military uses today

From the specs. It is much more armored then the traditional humvee. Because of the IEDs american troops are incountering in the middleeast is one of the reasons for this program the humvee was just never built to be used the way we use them out there. here is the civilian version of the gurkalav from knight indistreies. 300,000 dollers well spent if you ask me. lol
