Anyone ever used a mask that uses mesh instead of goggles? I've heard the BB's can break apart on it, sending a ton of fragments into your eyes.

I was wondering because I was planning on buying this mask once I got the money. But if it's not safe I'll either buy a different one, or cut out the mesh and put lenses in it.
I am still waiting for the insurance company to let me know if these are usable, I do know that we will not be renting any masks like this. I did call the insurance company again Friday, I hope to hear back from them early this week.
it defeats the purpose of it I know but u should wear eye protection under it even if just to be sure.

Yeah, I'll probably get something like this to wear under it.
zach another place to try for paintball maks is rap4.com .... they got good masks for a good price as well good priced BDU's but thats beside the point and also i know doug one of the owners of the new field sells them at his shop.... extreem war zome in traders world bldg 11 talk to him or dutch about them .... (doug is known as king of arms on this forum)
I would would highly advise that you don't buy anything mesh. I have personally seen bb's shatter (especially bio bb's) on mesh masks coming from 300 fps AEG's at 50 ft.

Let me help guide your decision. The mask you chose would be a poor choice because most (if not all) fields do not allow mesh eye protection. Also, that mask does not look like it will circulate air very well so even if you had a set of safety glasses underneath you will inevitably cause them to fog to the point where they will be useless and hinder your eyesight. That is another problem with the mask, its field of visibility is very low and playing in a CQB environment, you are going to want to be able to see everything you possibly can unhindered.

Now, here is a good and cheaper solution to your problem; NOTE: the website(s) I list are for reference and I am in no way endorsing them over any other reputable dealer.

This mask is a good choice because you get mouth and ear protection but you can still look down the sight's and or optics you have on your AEG without much trouble.

This will cure your fogging issues that can and may but most likely will occur. It fits right on top of JT brand goggles and masks.

So there you have it, a cheaper and more effective alternative for your eye and face protection needs. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
Alright
Thanks
