This is a set of bomb scenarios that I'm simply throwing together from memory of how my old troupe use to play them.
The bomb scenarios were always pretty hairy being played in that big, dark run down old K-mart of ours, and hopefully we can recreate that same tension and excitement with this simple to emulate scenario.
One thing that will make these scenarios stand out will be the bombs being used. Making the bomb more interactive than simply running around in the dark with a plastic box called " the bomb " can infuse a better sense of immersion by being just a little creative. I've built a simulated device that we used to use and have a few ideas for others that can make the experience a lot of fun.
Basic setup and variations:
Version#1
Each team starts at different ends of the arena. One being the extreme radicalist team hell bent on blowing up the target and all infidels with it even if it requires their own lives.
The other a counter-terrorist team ready to administer a lead enema to anything not dressed like one of the team and trained to disarm anything that might tick or beap in an agressive or unwelcome manner.
Putting the drama aside...
The round starts with the extremists holding the bomb at an area that is not specifically known to the opposition and it is set to a predetermined time limit for explosion.
Counter-Terrorists goals:
*Reach the bomb and disarm it before it explodes whether the enemy is still alive or not. Eliminating all the terrorists will not be enough to win the round, the team must disarm the bomb to win.
Terrorists goals:
*To protect the explosives without fail until detonation occurs. Eliminating the opposing force is sufficient to end the round as there will be nothing left standing in the way to reach their goal.
Version#2
Two opposing forces entering the arena from seperate locations are after the same goal. Find and disarm a bomb that has been set to destroy an item of great importance to each group.
The bomb and the desired item are planted in the same location secretly set up before the round's start by a member of the facility's staff. The location must remain random and unknown to either force.
The goal is the same for either team: find and disarm the bomb before detonation. Eliminating all members of opposing force will not end the round if the bomb is still ticking. If the bomb explodes, the round ends in a stalemate and no one wins. Relegating the prize to be recycled for a future round.
The item of importance offers a chance for the facility to reward the winning team with a prize such as a small bag of ammo or something similar.
